Pet Superstar 2012 Complete Contest Rules
1.All proceeds from this contest will be used to support literacy through the Trib Total Media Newspaper in Education (NIE) program and regional animal shelters.
2.Color or black/white photos will be accepted. Photos submitted by mail can not be returned, but will be available for pick up from April 20, 2012 through April, 30, 2012 at your local Trib Total Media publication.
3.All entries must be received by 4:30 pm on Friday January 20, 2012.
4.To enter either log onto petcontest.triblive.com and submit your photo, or mail or drop off your photo, completed entry form and $10.00 entry fee at your local Trib Total Media publication. Checks, money orders, credit cards or cash will be accepted. Make check payable to Trib Total Media.
5.Only one pet per photo and one photo per entry will be accepted. We will not accept any photo containing humans.
6.We will not be responsible for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated or otherwise undeliverable mail.
7.Trib Total Media readers will cast their votes for their favorite pet photos by ballots made available in Trib Total Media publications, online at petcontest.triblive.com or at your local publication office.
8.There is no limit to the number of votes you may cast. Each vote cost $.25. Votes will only be accepted on official ballots or by voting online at petcontest.triblive.com. Ballots and money can be dropped off at or mailed to your local Trib Total Media publication.
9.Votes are not cumulative and start over with each round.
10.Contest will consist of two voting rounds. First round will commence Friday Feb. 17, 2012 and voting will close at 4:30pm on Wednesday March 7, 2012. Round two, consisting of top vote recipients, will commence on Friday March 23, 2012 and voting will close at 4:30pm on Wednesday April 11, 2012. Winners will be announced on April 18, 2012.
11.Entries receiving the highest amount of votes, as determined by Trib Total Media in its sole discretions, shall be declared winners.
12.Grand Prize will be valued at $500.00; Four additional prizes of $100.00 will be awarded to runner ups. Each winner will be required to complete a declaration of eligibility. Failure to return the declaration within 21 days will result in forfeiture of the prizes.
13.Contest is open to all residents of the Trib Total Media home delivery areas. Employees of Trib Total Media and sponsor companies are not eligible to participate. Prizes won by minors must be accepted by parent or guardian.
14.Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulation apply.
